'ima' initially was derived from 'invisible mother-artist' and the word 'mother' in Hebrew, my language of origin. This method was used in order to deconstruct the cultural constructs Motherhood and Artist, as well as Kibbutz childhood. Today 'ima' stands for 'in-visible mother-artist'. This method is still used in a new PhD research at Loughborough University.

The historian of promise, Performative drawing
In these most recent blog pages you can view The historian of promise, a performative, collaborative drawing that has been done in the past 5 days. The drawings were collected and are now stored in a bowl, as a heap of chalk and colored powder. This part of the blog is arranged in a non-linear, semi chronological way, echoing this heap.

Nuris mini participatory installation
1948 was
the year of Israel’s War of Independence and the Palestinian Nakba
(catastrophe).
Nuris was a
Palestinian village that got destroyed in 1948.
On a family
visit to Israel when going for a walk on my beloved Gilboa mountain I stumbled
across the remains of Nuris. There were
no signs or memorial for the Palestinian residents, only bits of walls
and straight angles reminiscent of human life.
